Bohemernas intåg is a publication produced to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the arts and crafts programmes at Östra Grevie folkhögskola, one of Sweden’s leading preparatory schools for art and design.
The book combines archival material with newly conducted interviews, bringing together found photographs alongside reflections from former and current students and teachers. Through these visual and personal narratives, the publication documents six decades of artistic education, creative experimentation, and the school's enduring influence on generations of artists and designers.
As the final stage of the project, we organised a collaborative workshop involving approximately 80 students. Each participant was invited to freely interpret the theme by creating a unique dust jacket for the book. The workshop resulted in 1,300 individually wrapped copies, transforming every publication into a one-of-a-kind object and extending the book's exploration of collective authorship and artistic expression.
